If you had asked me early yesterday how this job was going, I would have said I could not see the light at the end of the tunnel. But… I did put in some extra hours and by the time I left (7 pm), I felt I had a good grip on it all. I have not been working much more than a 7 or 8 hr. day. It’s just too exhausting to work much longer than that, especially when these walls are so tall in 2 of the 3 rooms. It’s a lot more energy to have to keep climbing up and down very tall ladders and scaffolding vs. just doing a standard 8′ high wall. It is a very good workout though… helping me get in shape for the Summer! Today, when I left I felt very good about how it is all progressing. 🙂 Stacy has not been able to come to help for the past few days because she is tied up on a job of her own. She will come tomorrow to wrap up her portion of this job. (the top tier of the foyer!) The Lounge is now done and I will try to remember to take pics tomorrow. The whole place is really such a filthy mess, it’s hard to get motivated to take pictures. There is a lot of equipment all over the place and the old carpeting is still in place, covered w/sawdust, plaster, etc. It will be fun to see all the lighting, furniture, window treatments, etc. in place and the building cleaned and ready to go! The management is planning an Open House for Memorial Day Weekend.
