The Powder Room is done!

May 17, 2007 //  by Paint It!

I added a Bougainvillea vine to the window and did a little more shading/shadows.

The baseboard flowers got some daisies, verbena, and ranunculas, plus some more ferns.

I began the border in the den/sitting room. I’ve been calling this room the den, but my client calls it her sitting room. I guess "den" is an outdated term these days… I wonder why that term went out of fashion…

This is a 2 overlay stencil, so I am going around the room with Overlay #1 first. That’s my blue tape, marking the registration marks to line up Overlay #2. The design is leaves with berries. You’ll see! I should be able to finish this room tomorrow.

I left a note for the homeowner to give me a call when she got home from work, so we could touch base and make sure it was all going as she had hoped. Well… she called and literally squealed with delight into the phone! Now that’s the kind of reaction I can appreciate! What a change from "the Suits" that have walked through the commercial job I am still working on and have said nothing!
