Here a few pumpkins I stenciled recently. I am going to give one to a client later this week and a few to some friends. I have to pick up some more pumpkins, I think, since once I started doing this, I just wanted to do more! It’s really very easy if you are interested in doing this yourself. I used Patio Paints, in Wrought Iron Black for the stencil paint. This can be found in stores like A.C. Moore and craft stores. It is made to withstand the elements, so you can put your painted pumpkin outdoors. I used spray adhesive on the back of my stencils, since the surface is so irregular. Blot your stencil brush well on a paper towel first to avoid bleed -unders.
I decided to try this on small pumpkins first. I have 2 larger pumpkins I will experiment on next!
Ha! I see my cat’s tail on the floor over there on the right side of this pic!
what a great idea! I especially like the spider one 🙂
Love this idea! we also love the all-over stenciled chest! Beautiful!

I tried to give the spider one to my daughter today and she would not take it because she has always been afraid of spiders and ants! She opted for one of the plain pumpkins I had not touched! Kids… geesh…!
Thanks kari & kijsa! Love your blog site… will add to my list! 😉
