Well, for one, I was glued to my tv every evening watching the DNC. How refreshing to finally have a presidential candidate we can really get excited about!
I spent most of my days this week trying to organize my office a bit, cleaning my house, catching up on phone calls, taking some long walks and trying to be outside as much as possible while the weather is so beautiful. I am also working on some small house projects, which I will reveal at a later date, once completely finished.
I also made the decision to attend the Decorative Arts Show/The Faux Event in Atlantic City, September 7-13. I was not going to go, but a friend and fellow decorative painter called me the other day and invited me to stay at her time share in Atlantic City, so now I really had no excuse. I am going to take a 2 day class by Nancy Jones entitled: "Creative Countertops and Beyond". I have just started to research and experiment with some of the new cement based products available for resurfacing countertops and floors. This class should provide me with some great samples to show my clients and answer the many questions I have about these products. I will report more on this when I return from Atlantic City.
Tomorrow I am off to the Berkshires for my uncle’s 90th birthday. I’ll be back on Sunday. On Labor Day, I will be laboring away at one of my day care centers, doing a few rooms. I need to get in there before the kids return! Have a fun and safe weekend!
I can’t remember the last time I went to bed at a reasonable hour! First the Olympics, then the Democratic Convention, next week the Republican Convention.
This is the first time I have watched so much of the convention(s). This country has so much vested in the next election.
Hope the show is great! Thank you for all your prayers and blessings!
Have a wonderful Labor Day,
kari & kijsa
