Ouch!

January 15, 2009 //  by Paint It!

I don’t know what is going on with my elbow, but it has been sore for about three weeks now. I thought if I just ignored it, it would go away, but it started to get worse this week. Yesterday, I stopped off at my local CVS and purchased two items that seem to be bringing me some relief.

I bought a box of 3 medicated sleeves, made by IcyHot and immediately put one on around my right elbow when I got into my car. I wore this all day while I glazed the walls in that Living Room and was relatively pain free! I did smell like a walking tube of BenGay though.

I also purchased this heat wrap made by Thermalon. You heat it up in the microwave then just slip it on. You can also put it in the freezer for an ice pack. It says it relieves arthritis pain. I’m not sure if I have arthritis, but the heat definitely is helping. This wrap is quite bulky, so is best used at home while I’m watching tv or typing on my computer.

Now that my elbow is so sore, I notice how much I use this body part to constantly prop doors open when carrying my supplies in and out doors. I’m going to try to break that habit fast!
