Job Wrap Up

September 16, 2009 //  by Paint It!

SoffitThe Kitchen from my previous post is now finished. I just had to add a few high and low lights.

Close up soffit

Here’s a close up of the details.

Scroll with missing

And of course, as soon as I packed everything away and moved into the next room I was working on, I noticed I forgot one of the overlays of the scroll stencil on this corner! I went back and added it later.

Bath1 b4 Next, I moved onto the first of two bathrooms I would be doing. Here is the before shot, although the blue color on the walls is much prettier than what is showing!

Shwr curtain This shower curtain is the inspiration piece for the stenciled border I created.

Again, I had to dust off some multi-overlay stencils that have not seen much use lately. It is always nice to return to some basic, classic stencils and these designs have all stood the test of time. This shot shows the border before any high and low lights have been added.

Bath1 complete Here’s a finished section. The Twig Trellis design is from Royal Design Studio, as well as the Morning Glory flowers. The Trumpet Vine is from the Mad Stencilist and the Butterfly is from ?, oh I’m going to have to go into my studio and look for that info and report back next time.

Bath 1 complete2 The border wraps all around the bathroom. Here is another section.

Ivy 1

I saved the easiest bathroom for last. In this small room, my client wanted just a simple ivy vine. My all time favorite ivy stencil is the Painterly Ivy from Royal Design Studios. I’ve had this stencil for many, many years and it is well used. There are several single overlays of ivy vines that you can use in any configuration. I just use a liner brush to add some extra tendrils.

Here is another angle in the room. This was a very peaceful and relaxing 3 days at this house. It was sooo quiet there.
