Chalk Board Stenciling

September 24, 2010 //  by Paint It!

Chalkboard1

I saw this quote somewhere recently, although I cannot remember where… and loved it so much, I wrote it on my dining room chalkboard. I wanted to add a little embellishment (of course!), so used one of the overlays from this two overlay stencil design. I’ve had this stencil forever, but I believe you can still get the design from Jan Dressler. It is #165 Acanthus Corner. The complete stencil is really very nice, but the 2nd overlay was too large for this space. I don’t know why I have not thought of using stencils on my chalkboard before. I can see this is going to open up a whole new world for my little chalkboard art!
