Today I am revealing to all of you, my very ugly hands. They look like the hands of a 100 year old woman. They are my worst feature, I believe. I use them not only to hold my tools, but as a tool. I know, I know… I should take much better care of them. Wear protective gloves more often, use a lot more moisturizer, use tools as an extension of my hands vs. using my hands as the tool first. Get more than the occasional manicure. Well, I’d really have to rethink that last one. When I’m not painting during the week for a living, I’m usually doing some home repair project or digging in my garden, so a professional manicure seems like a waste of my time and money.
only to discover it was a huge bruise! It doesn’t hurt at all, but it sure doesn’t add to the beauty, especially since this hand was already sporting some injuries from sanding my front porch over the weekend. 🙁
I just applied a strong moisturizer to my boney, veiny, bruised, sad looking hands and vow to be kinder to them.
