A Walk, A Book, A Fun Job!

March 29, 2016 //  by Paint It!

BookIt all started about a month ago while on my early morning walk. I passed a house where there was a stack of free books placed out on the sidewalk. This one caught my eye, so I picked it up and carried it home with me.

Later that same day, I began an email and phone exchange with a company called NetBrain, who was seeking someone to paint their logo, in a very large size, on an office wall.

After a site visit was done and sketches approved, I set about to create not only the NetBrain logo, but also a fun Circuit Board Tree.

The flat panel tv, which serves as the brain, was removed after I projected the head onto the wall so the correct size of the head could be determined. I then sketched out and taped.

The end result was a giant head to house the brain (tv), where info about clients served is on display.

Tree WallIMG_4371There are a lot of white walls in this large office complex and NetBrain is on a quest to bring some interest to their surroundings. An idea I proposed was to paint a Circuit Board Tree on one wall. Working closely with the Office Administrator, Ashley Chaisson, a suitable tree was designed. I used a grid method and a lot of tape!

Clear frames with client photos will be placed where the largest circles are seen. What’s really nice, is both the NetBrain logo and this Circuit Board Tree are visible as soon as you exit the elevator and enter through the glass doors.

It was a lot of fun to work on this project with such a great company. Check out their website! I look forward to more creative projects with the NetBrain team! And by the way… I’m starting the "The Secret Life of the Grown Up Brain" this week. 🙂
