Furniture Fun

July 13, 2016 //  by Paint It!

I was given this cute little table to liven up a bit in a room that was recently redone. I will show more of that in another post soon. My client wanted a marbled top with some blue and golds brought in. After researching marbles, this is what I came up with. Only the top of the table and the legs were in very poor shape so I wanted to keep as much of the good wood intact. The base and legs were accented with imitation gold leaf with a slightly tinted wax.

The top does not photograph well, but the up close photo is much closer to what it really looks like. I did several layers, isolating each layer as I progressed, so it has a lot of depth to it.
